Configure Ecommerce checkout, payments, shipping, and email

Understand the operational settings that must work together for a reliable store checkout.

Version 1Last reviewed 24 Sep 2026
Ecommerce checkout is a chain: cart, customer details, payment gateway, shipping or fulfilment, order creation, confirmation email, and post-purchase operations. Configure and test each link rather than treating a saved setting as a successful transaction.

Payment gateways belong to Ecommerce settings and are distinct from Creator’s platform-owned collection and payout configuration. Email delivery may use the administrator’s default system or the store’s permitted SMTP workflow, depending on the configured product rules.

Common questions

Why did payment succeed but email not arrive? Check the order status first, then email settings, sender identity, queue or cron status, and spam filtering. Why is a gateway unavailable? Check its credentials, currency support, activation state, and provider account eligibility.

Steps

  1. Open store settings and review payment gateway configuration.
  2. Configure shipping, tax, coupons, customer notifications, and legal pages as applicable.
  3. Run a test checkout using a non-live or provider-approved test path.
  4. Confirm the resulting order and email before publishing the store widely.
